There are many fabulous venues in and around Liverpool. Places and spaces to suit every couple, style of celebration, number of guests, and budget, I know I'm probably not supposed to have favourites, but I must be honest and admit that I do. This is just one of my favourites (there are quite a few more - how about The Royal Liver Building or Hope Street Hotel

What a gem of a place! The beating heart of one of Liverpool's most loved parks. An incredible space for a celebration and an important and thriving community resource for the local neighbourhood and beyond.
Sefton Park’s ‘Great Conservatory’ was a gift to the city of Liverpool by local benefactor Henry Yates Thompson. When it first opened to the public, in 1896, it quickly became a popular visitor attraction. It sadly fell into disrepair during the 1990's but after a public campaign and multi-million pound restoration, this Grade 2* listed building re-opened its doors to visitors in 2001 and has since enjoyed a new lease of life as a lively arts and cultural venue.
I am lucky enough to live very near to the Palm House and have visited on many occasions for craft classes, heritage talks, concerts, plays, or just a cup of coffee with friends.
I've also been blessed to lead many wedding ceremonies in this gorgeous space. The team at the Palm House, and their partners, work tirelessly to ensure that every wedding is special and it's always a joy to work alongside them.
The Palm House looks just as stunning outside as inside and the gated garden is exquisite. There are statues of botanists, scientists, designers and explorers around the outside (and a very cute statue of Peter Pan) and inside there is one of 'Highland Mary', the great love of the poet Robbie Burns.

Hi, I am Lorraine Hull, an award-winning Celebrant, based in Liverpool.
I am most usually asked to conduct ceremonies in North-West England and North Wales but I am happy to travel anywhere within the U.K. or abroad.
At the risk of shouting (and sounding extremely cheesy) "I LOVE MY JOB!".
I really love getting to know the couples and families that ask me to be part of their special celebration, whether that is for a Wedding/Civil Partnership, Renewal/Reaffirmation of Vows, Naming/Welcoming, or Celebration of Life/Funeral
I love hearing, writing and telling love and life stories (and also finding out about hopes and dreams - which are the stories of the future!)
I love to create and conduct unique, meaningful ceremonies that are perfect for each couple, individual, and/or family.
I love helping to create and celebrate happy and poignant moments, which form memories that will last a lifetime (that also includes the memories that I get to keep too - what's not to love?)
I believe that ALL people (and animals) should all be treated kindly, fairly and with respect.
I think for myself and act for others. I advocate anti-racism, the appreciation and celebration of diversity, dignity, justice, equity and equality for ALL through everything that I say and do: Love is Love, Family is Family, Life is Life.
You may like to know that I was trained to the highest level as a Celebrant and have continued my professional development. I hold Public Liability and Professional Indemnity insurance. I adhere to a strict code of conduct and I am committed to identifying, developing and sharing best practice with my Celebrant colleagues, so that we can all be the best Celebrants that we can possibly be.
